Quality matters and not mere quantity or price tags.
In 2012 Lit fest I was invited, but did not go. Many asked me why? and went on to say the sheer number of authors you could have interacted with must have given you an idea.
Every session had 12 authors being interviewed within a span of a total of 2 hours.
The people interviewing were the ilk of Rajdeep Sardesai, Tappar, Burka Dutt and the types and bunch of authors ( euphemism for lucky writers who got published, not necessarily worth reading on any aspect either language, content, context, topic nothing) present.
They included the Left over tribes like Arundhati Roy, Chetan Bhagat, Shoba De etc. Recently, at Chennai there was a ultra Right literary fest .
At least in the literary world there must be a mix of letting two or more opposing or contradictory ideologies/ views be debated like Neeya Naana.
This is the reason why pattimandram has taken over the space of Katha kalashebhams the monotonous monologues.
It is like the tourist agency package: Visit 25 countries in one week. .. You may miss 5 countries if on any day you don't get a window seat.
