Cult/ religious indoctrination of gullible small children is not good in whichever religion it happens.
Though one can inculcate values and character, impart culture and tradition and instruct even to follow rituals and tradition ( if people choose to be orthodox) but extricating and depriving them from normal life that other children of that age enjoy is bad.
It can be part of vacation or some part of the day, not the only full time activity of children.
What does that poor child know?
The reason for the collapse of Tibet and many of its monks resorting to self immolation when China captured its mainland was because the majority of its citizens were trained only in monasteries to become monks. They hardly knew anything outside of it.
This trend can be witnessed even in Darjeeling and Gangtok onwards.
