Leftover LEFT and its dubious and double standards

We need to stop:-

Mere band aid treatments for deep wounds and  knee jerk reactions to gross crimes.

High time we prepare, I request VIF along with some IITs do a detailed data based list and crisp analysis of impact and cost of corruption.

How from 1947 both corruption, wrong policies, indifference of  majority have caused irreparable damage. 

Highlight these with catchy slogans, glossy charts with the picture of persons responsible for such corruption. 

Write in detail the deep rooted globally proven malefic cancer of leftover LEFT and its dubious and double standards of concern for democracy, equality,  human rights etc. 

This dangerous virus of petrified ideology of putrefied perspectives is injecting puerile perceptions all of which need to be kept in the attic of a museum for fossil genetic samples.

Too ambivalent to clearly choose between the practical and idealistic that they cannot object either approaches;

 

Too bickering for petty benefits that they cannot afford to object to beneficiaries of certain entitlements;

 

Too caring about being cocooned in their personal comforts that they cannot advice others to come out of their comfort zones.

 

Too discursive in debates that they cannot find fault with others diverting from context;

 

Too easy going to object to expediency or opportunism that others seek;

 

Too fond of dabbling in too many things with a cursory interest without serious focused persistent pursuit of any particular thing that they cannot find fault with superficiality of others or get intimidated by the specialist;

 

Too greedy that they cannot deny others' aggression to acquire more;

 

Too hypocritical that they cannot criticise double standards of others;

 

Too immune to insults and insinuations they cannot object to others' compromises;

 

Too judge​mental that they cannot avoid being evaluated;

 

Too kinky that they cannot find fault with aberrations of any sort in others;

 

Too laid back in their attitude that they cannot accuse others of not taking things seriously;

 

Too manipulative that they cannot accuse others of misusing them;

 

Too narcissistic that they cannot accuse others of selfishness;

 

Too overbearing that they cannot accuse others' bossy behaviour;

 

Too passionate about certain things to the exclusion of other things that they cannot object to others' strong prejudices;

 

Too quixotic in disposition that they cannot question others' choices and decisions;

 

Too radical to object to any others' opinions; 

 

Too sensitive to object to others taking offence at certain comments;

 

Too thick skinned to get offended by any comments and hence cannot accuse others' indifference;

 

Too unforgiving that they cannot question others' intolerance;

 

Too vainglorious that they cannot accuse others of vanity;

 

Too xenophobic to object to ethnocentric protectionism in others;

 

Too yearning for everything that they cannot object to unrealistic desires of others;

 

Too zigzag in life's path that they cannot suggest any path to others;

 

Too wobbly is the whole life with all actions, emotions, recreations, thoughts, ideas, reasoning, rewards , rich experiences and all winding paths which makes it clear that 'wisdom is always a work in progress' and hence, we need to accept others for what they are worth without trying to act wise or attempting to give advices.

Really great and good to know. Got to see this a few days back.

 

 

This is what I wrote; probably​​ many may not like it.

 

 

Real passion, talents and greatness somehow come to light  but in the case of India it needs to be both identified and marketed by a foreigner.

 

 

The list is too long and includes almost many great spiritual and philosophical souls as well. 

 

 

Why? Even all our freedom fighters who were recognized and given space and importance were those who got educated overseas.

 

 

There may be many inherent hindrances which need to be looked into without bias and we need to change our attitude. 

 

 

When someone known to us within our close circles is good at something we become either indifferent or dismiss it as what is so great, nothing new our ancestors were greater than this, professional jealousy and all sorts of possible excuses to put down. Whereas, if that very same person becomes a success then we try in any contorted way to claim some affinity with that person, hero worship that person and so on.

 

 

So, such a person ' a diamond in the rough' ends up in a hyper narcissistic Mephobia -which is the fear of becoming so awesome that the human race can't handle it and everybody dies.

what is wrong with Fashion parades- how hypocritical we are

There was a time in India when the self appointed cultural police vehemently opposed, especially through the media criticizing and condemning right left and center all genre of beauty contests like fashion shows, cat walks and especially the commercial advantage that the Miss INDIA contests had. It was not in the early 70’s or 80’s but in the late 90’s when the Indian films were actually portraying women as vulgar as possible. So , I found this to be really hypocritical. Therefore I wrote in Eves Touch Adam’s view column at that time. Quote the article as it appeared:-

How hypocritical can we get?!

Is there anything wrong with beauty? Or contests? Or both? Are we sure we object to cynosures? Or are we peeved at the parading of an ectomorphic entourage of long legs and perky breast in see –through dresses, transparent wrap-skirts, and pieces torn asunder sticking on the body like strings of noodles slipped from a fork? Because all these promote the vulgar portrayal of women and increase the pornographic voyeurism of our youth. And we would be right on all these scores to object to a romantic twaddle that passes for culture and spoils the young minds. But haven’t these very things been shown day in and day out in Indian films for decades? In fact , our films abound in all these and much more, from sexpressive clothes to suggestive gestures to uncompromising postures to an enormous amount of veiled vulgarity.

We never object to viewing these films with our children. But we make such a hue and cry about beauty contests, which have nothing to do with vulgarity. In a beauty contest, the judgment is not only on appearances but on many other aspects of the personality. The winner is expected, perhaps, have the face of Venus, the brains of Minerva, the grace of Terpsichore, the memory of Macaulay, the figure of Juno, the voice of Cordelia. She is expected to be a Protean artist, a Triton among minnows, a Dulcinea to all, patient as Griselda and so on. Even if it were a mere test of beauty, what is wrong with it? Beauty may be skin deep, but it is at beauty that our eyes peep, our hearts leap, our memories want to keep, what haunts us in our sleep, so what if it is just skin deep? Once a father told his son, “Remember ,beauty is only skin deep”. The son replied, “deep enough for me, I am not a cannibal”. Our self- proclaimed , moralists will be satisfied if our winners in Miss India contests and Fashion parades declare as a woman once did when asked what gave her such a lovely complexion and what cosmetic she used, “ I use for my lips truth, for my voice prayer, for the eyes pity, for the hands charity, for the figure uprightness and for the heart , love”.
