Listing and Linking.

If anyone from within our own circle is talented, skilled, achieves we hesitate to praise them and instead start comparisons, LIST what are all the things that went in his/ her favor etc and wait for decades to recognise.

Whereas, someone who has migrated before teens or during early childhood and achieves something, then suddenly, we start LINKING all sorts of Indian connections and go ga ga about it.

NASA scientist Dr. Swathi Mohan is a celebrated aerospace engineer who has achieved what very few in India would have even dreamt about. But she went to the US when she was one year old, she is an AMERICAN, not an Indian. Worst part is almost all media head narratives were like ' bindi porting or bindi wearing' as if that contributed to her scientific skills or that mattered at all.

Lines in his Famous Diary published under the title of “MARKINGS”  in 1961: “LIFE YIELDS ONLY TO THE CONQUEROR. NEVER ACCEPT WHAT CAN BE GAINED BY GIVING IN. YOU WILL BE LIVING OFF STOLEN GOODS, AND YOUR MUSCLES WILL ATROPHY”.

​These contradictions must form the fiber and fabric of life depending on the situation i.e ​Firmness and Flexibility, Egotism and Humility, Intolerance and Compassion, Independence and Loyalty, Fortitude and Pragmatism, Absolute Fearlessness and Reasonable Caution, and Finally Irrepressible Energy and Suave Calmness. He is a Rare Combination of Steel and Velvet, One must be  as Hard as Rock and as Soft as Drifting Fog, one must Hold in his Heart and Mind the Paradox of Raging Storm and Tranquil Calm

​So when we deal with certain people ​we are forced to come out of our skin of nice and noble qualities and behave nastily to get our rightful due.
