The ‘Froth Filler’ anointed as ‘Fourth Pillar’- The Main Architects of Anarchy

Let us explore what has happened to the theater of life in society.

Let us explore the abysmal appropriations and claims of the terminology ‘Fourth Pillar’ as referring to the press read as the Mainstream Media Mafia.

I wanted to know how come this ‘froth filler' on the substance of most issues managed to hijack and hype itself to be in the company of other institutions, which are accountable, electable, require relevant qualifications, and must wade through immense competition and be subject to public scrutiny and both legal and constitutional validations and approvals.

Though this term is claimed to have been coined by Thomas Carlyle and almost ignorantly parroted by everyone, including many members of the so-called other three pillars.

Present day, for everything and anything, everyone jumps to googling, either to get answers or to clarify or to verify or to confirm, and so on. Therefore, all of you please feel free to do so after reading or while reading this. You may be puzzled to know this fourth pillar is used for multiple aspects, at times referring to culture, at times to sustainable development and some other times to environmental concerns, etc.

The press/MSM [Mainstream Media] was never considered a pillar; it was referred to as an "estate."

The first use of the term ‘Fourth Estate’ itself is shrouded in claims and counterclaims, beginning from crediting Henry Fielding (1707-54) with using it in his writing to the first verified usage occurring in an 1828 essay on the Constitutional History of England (1827) by Henry Hallam, written by the British historian and politician Thomas Macaulay (1800-59):

But on record it gained popularity after Edmund Burke mentioned it mockingly in 1787 about the press (what we call now MSM—mainstream media) as the 'Fourth Estate,' the other three being the Clergy (theocracy), the Nobility (aristocratic elites who lapped up the colonial loot), and the Commoners. [This is the pathetic track record of the so-called high priests of democracy, human rights, minority rights, etc]. While the other three were subject to approval and acceptance of the royalty [another unelected lingering legacy], the fourth one was mostly submissive to royalty.

As most words and expressions undergo metamorphosis or mutilation or malleability to make room for emerging situations.

This 'Fourth Estate’ was somehow smuggled by the self-appropriating labels assigning the industry of MSM and repackaged as the 'Fourth Pillar,' as that term would give a greater aura to the profession of self-appointed know-it-alls and judge-all universal umpires and referees of every drama on the theater of human life.

In the process, this bunch of superficial reporters and journalists has dominated the space of imparting information and public discourse and ended up mutilating the significance of great writers, scholarly writings, and great authors who engage, educate, and enlighten the readers.

Now these MSMs are the architecture of anarchy.

 

The architecture of building (using international networks) an aura of reform to create anarchy and terrorism in societies.

 

Unless this malignant cancer is addressed globally, it can kill many more societies. One may call these cancers LEFT liberalism, WOKE ideology, or any other terminology.

The basic structure of this architecture. 

 

Sermonizing (religious terminology) on social reforms (sociology), fighting economic inequality (economics), and victimhood peddling (usual Leftover LEFT ideologies trying to survive with new masks and terminologies). 

 

Engineering (a terminology of science) ideologically chiselled narratives (modern paid journalistic biased reporting smeared with opinion columns camouflaged as media studies) to generate mass dissent (political science) and execute these to clinical perfection (medical terminology) by parachuting carefully chosen popular personalities, either well-known personalities or celebrities (bureaucrats/Bollywood stars, etc.), notorious professionals who are of immense utility in terms of nuisance value (legal fraternity and paid media mafia), letting one gullible nice old man as a figurehead (euphemism for puppet) with optics, operations, and overhyped sainthood cum social reformer (adorning with images of a cap well recognized by the masses as part of freedom (dumb) struggle and posturing of a well-accepted personality accredited as spearheading India's Freedom movement, spiced with some people with so-called educational backgrounds (in fact, mere academic achievement of specific subjects which may not impart any actual knowledge of lived experience on the ground or equip or enable or empower one with necessary credentials to involve in real governance which requires too many things). 

 

These types of internationally orchestrated 'anarchy and dissent,' which are portrayed as civil disobedience movements, are as harmful, if not more harmful in impact, than organized terror outfits (while the latter manifests in a few gory violent activities, the former is an injected malign cancer that stays permanently in the collective social psyche, pollutes academic institutions of higher education, permeates everywhere, and eats into the social fabric). 

 

It kills harmony by lingering around longer, causing long-term damage to the collective social psyche, and hinders any productive developmental activity. 

 

Big economies, well-meaning nations on the path of development, and societies that seek real peace and social harmony must collectively engage in seriously creating an international organization (the UN is perceived as a mute spectator) to address this collective social and psychological cancer by legally disallowing (keeping away the hypocrisy of democratic rights and freedom of expression, the two multipurpose masks) violence, riots, and anarchic dissent disturbing the normal life of everyone in the name of any cause or ideology. 

 

At academic institutes, even at the primary level, children must be taught to avoid anarchy and violence as venom. This must be done for the sake of peace and harmony.

 

We do not live only for or exclusively on or by any ideology and need not live for any ideology either, but instead lead life with peace and let others as well have that privilege of peace.

 

Every ideology, principle, and value system has its own merits and demerits, its own contextual relevance.

 

Similarly, the life of every individual, society, and nation has its own priorities besides, beyond, and between the multitude of conflicting, contradictory ideologies; doctrines of religion and politics; and the multitude of social engineering 'isms' that crop up under various masks with different labels like social reform, liberalism, capitalism, communism, national legal systems, socio-culturally enforced traditions, and moral and ethical systems.
