These types of short scripts trap public into multitude of logical fallacies which blunt and blur the nuances. These cherry picking leading to Strawman fallacy, Red Herring fallacy etc (Historians' Fallacies" subtitle: "Towards a Logic of Historical Thought" Author: David Hackett Fischer).

A sort of Victim blaming surreptitiously leading to Stockholm Syndrome and internalised oppression mindset.

Variety, differences and heterogeneity were there everywhere as part of nature, but to trying to 'discriminate' or selectively exaggerating certain existing discriminations as a tool of victimhood peddling and wedge divisions intentionally pitting one against another were done scrupulously by the cunning Brits.

For example, X a bureaucrat may have a driver for 15 years and both are friendly and cordial. The bureaucrat may go out in the car driven by his driver and get a gold ring for his wife. If I keep telling the car driver , ' see you have been his driver for the past 15 years, he makes you drive the car, but gets a gold ring only for his wife, why can't he offer to get one for your wife'.

'He goes to the club to drink with other bureaucrats why is he not taking you too for the drinking sessions'.

These types of dialogues and descriptions are intentionally divisive. Even if differences were there based on religion, language, caste etc no one ever looted the wealth in the temples and kept them in their houses - this is what the Brits did.

Next, they did was, the perennial sickening Western psychological disease of trying to homogenize everything in nature. With this mania they have sabotaged variety with their craze for forced uniformity and homogeneity. If science could deliver Europe, it would have made every mountain in Europe only snow clad, every forest to have only serried phalanx of pine trees not any other tree, everyone to remove their hats and  kneel down when the royal family's horse farts in public. Let us remember, though human history is littered with violence, invasions, wars etc, it was the contribution of Europe to convert them into  two world wars. They are trying their level best to start the third one either inside Europe itself or encourage it in some other continent.

Nature is variety and variety is natural. Denying and defying reality cannot always work.

Throughout history this homogenisation manis has failed miserably.

 

Be it the Roman Empire’s greed to spread its tentacles [ be a Roman in Rome] ; be it the attempt to homogenize religion which failed with Spanish Inquisition; be it Nazism or Colonialism; all have failed.

With this homogenisation mania, once the attempts at homogenizing cultures, beliefs, political ideologies have failed, the West resorted to  Trade and Economics and tried to classify everything under either Capitalism or Communism, politically the Right and the Left .

Logical fallacies are well ensconced in appealing slogans, well nuanced words, emotional blackmails and many other hypnotising methods of propaganda mechanisms or brain washing techniques that restrict even our frames of reference.

As it is we have, for ease of understanding as well as many other justifiable and unjustifiable reasons, divided the wholesomeness of life into narrow classifications and compartments.

Recently there was a video doing rounds in WhatsApp of someone lecturing how we live only seven [7] years by explaining by deducting how many years go away in sleeping, how many in doing routine duties, how many years we spend eating, travelling , bathing etc.

But aren’t all those part of life, in fact they make life more a living experience.

All those who have the tendency to justify or push an agenda rather than reason out or appreciate have this tendency to or propensity to oversimplify or over generalize and frame their question in such a manner that it would deliver only certain expected answer or answers like in wife beating case, you interrogate the accused like this, “Have you stopped beating your wife?".

If he says No anyway he will get the punishment. If he says Yes then by inference it means he is accepting that he was beating her before but has stopped now.

These types of questions can be framed always. I have prepared question papers for some competitive exams like these.

Fallacies and History

There is a very bulky book titled People's chronology of world events which covers
a very vast area of human activity from many centuries B.C you would find that for
 many centuries one of the main activities of human beings has been waging war.
In addition to that I just finished this book: Title: "Historians' Fallacies"
subtitle: "Towards a Logic of Historical Thought"
author: David Hackett Fischer
c 1970 (pre-ISBN, but SBN is 06-090498-4), 338 pp., including a list of
fallacy names at the end. Large number of footnote citations all really excellent. 
Some of the most serious problems in human thinking involve the use of
fallacies (in short, a mistake in thinking) to understand and decide what
to do, how to live, and how to treat ones neighbors (whether you like them
or not). Another problem involves a deficiency in knowledge of history or
selective knowledge of history. This book will go a long way to correct
this problem. It even discusses many controversies from multiple
viewpoints. 
Logical fallacies are fewer than listed in this book, and the book makes
it known that there are many systems of logic. From page 263 (in my
edition, first page of Chapter ten) is this sentence: "...the canonical
logic of ancient China, the grammatical logic of ancient India [see, I'm
not biased against India/Indians like some Indians think], the syllogistic
logic of Aristotle, the dichotomous logic of Ramus, and the mathematical
logic of Russell and Whitehead are among the most familiar." 
You will be surprised. 
Page 337 is a list. Here are the main categories:

All of you guys who think you "glow in the dark," have angel wings, and
saintly bright halo over your head should read this book and become
enlightened a little and humbled a lot. 
Then all of you guys who think that only the USA ever made wars on anyone,
and made bad wars, too, need to read some serious history about the wars
before the USA even existed and the other countries besides the USA
where large armies existed and existed long ago, and killed many many
people. Kshatriyas were warriors built into Hindu society, too, since
2000+ years ago so don't blame me but look in the mirror and open your eyes. 
Funny you guys don't talk about Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, Imperial
China with another 3,000+ years of Emperor/Dynasty history (more wars,
many dozens, Ghengis Khan and Mongol Empire, the Empires of pre-Columbian
America/MesoAmerica [Aztecs, Mayas, Xtecs, Incas] who also carried out
organized warfare, and warfare in sub-Saharan Africa, etc.). 
In addition to this we have very wrong approaches, we use wrong parameters when
we evaluate events, issues, persons and things.

While exploring the facts we must desist getting distracted from the following major traps:-
1] Mutilating the facts,
2] Analyzing them with preconceived notions or prejudices,
3] Generalizing the particular and particularizing the general,
4] Approaching facts with unloving criticism or uncritical love,
5] Evaluating facts with our pet isms or philosophies,
6] Resorting to statistical justifications,
7] Unleashing unworkable utopia,
8] Mask them with logical fallacies,
9] Bury them in pleasant jargons, and
10] Give historical justifications.
