Nice writeup. However, I sense simmering discontent, disconnection, innuendoes of some hidden agenda and I thought I would reply in the same format. Let us be proud of what Bharat is now , how it is progressing. My reply below👇

I thought the speech of Palki Sharma yesterday¹ and today’s TOI editorial page opinion column The right word: Terrorist by Arnab Ray*² both deserved a similar reply to that 99% of the MSM cannot try to pretend as if they are on a high pedestal and doing a great service except that they can spread their tentacles unlike the other pillars like legislature, judiciary, and bureaucracy, which have national boundaries and are bound to answerability.

Journalism, MSM 99% 'everywhere,' soaks info in secretions of narratives and opinions, packaging them with sensationalism. In media, there is no right word. Denotations and connotations have become distortions and contortions. Neutral journalism is like pro-abortion condoms.

DISSENT need not necessarily mean gross disrespect to institutions of importance and personalities holding top positions with the responsibility of maintaining the dignity of such institutions.

 

So, referring to such persons is a synecdoche of the institution itself.

 

Spewing venom on anything that does not succumb to specific and selective  ideology peddling backed by groups which struts around with pomposity and presumptive inflated image appropriating terms which have a good aura like intellectual, liberal and putrefying them to suit their petrified ideology cannot be a construed as dissent or freedom of speech

Nationalism and Globalism manifest synergy

Vested interest groups and status quo addicts use a team of mass opinion molders to propagate some ideology or agenda through media who have ensured to oversimplify the wide spectrum and great variety of life in all aspects life.

They do this by trying to limit or to curtail human perception through channelize debates into dichotomies of various hues according to the issues, individuals, institutions and domain like Left versus Right, Religion versus Science, Tradition versus Modernism, Capitalism versus Communism and so on .

Why it need not be  'this versus that'? Why can't it be  'this and that'?

The  perspective of  viewing the world as two opposing binaries is skewed up and spews out too many disagreements  which end up as 'this versus that' rather 'this and that' which happens  when the perspective becomes broader when binaries become bridges.

Life is not filled with  paradoxes but it is full of  polarity principle which is intrinsically interwoven.
