Some ideas here may stir the kettle of controversy, even provoke disagreement but that is perfectly natural and appropriate, since no practice is right for everyone. [If we agree on everything, only one of us is necessary]

World Court for Crimes of War Opened in The Hague on 11th March 2003. Good move in the right direction and why a lot more is needed.

All of us [not US] were very glad to read this long awaited good news of an impartial international umpire.

We all wish this excellent operation a grand success from the bottom of our souls with total intensity and intense totality.

While all of us feel the need for unity what unity needs is a feeling for all from all.

We only wish that it remains impartial and helps humanity and does not fall a prey to manipulative maneuvers of super powers as unfortunately the UN has tended to be viewed some times.

It must function in letter and spirit as a real international organization and not an intranational organization.

It must also be empowered to initiate punitive action against individuals but we wish that the purview is gradually enlarged and extended to even nations and states.

We wish that it must entertain the necessary PILS Public Interest Litigations against states, leaders, top politicians, bureaucrats etc who cause not only damage to civilian population on the grounds of human rights violation but also those who unnecessarily involve in large scale corruption, transfer funds to Swiss banks, a dubious international operation which renders many nations poorer and makes the people lead a miserable life while the rulers and their kith and kin enjoy royal life styles and also makes certain developed countries wealthier.

It must also gradually take up environmental issues, especially damages caused by individuals and governments and it must be empowered to check misuse and excessive use of natural resources and energy by any one particular nation.

It must also suggest ways to check population by countries, which are overpopulating the globe.

It must also boldly take upon itself the responsibility to check activities, which destroy native cultures, traditions and religious practices and which cause unwanted psychological wars leading to real animosity between otherwise friendly and normal human beings. In fact if we brush aside all hypocrisies and scan through the evolution of many terrorist activities, ethnic fights, communal flare ups, religious clashes we can easily see the real cause.

Though these are too much for an organization which has after long years of hibernation has just come out to see the light, however, a wider perspective and a more comprehensive approach to legally set right the large scale wrongs will give more credence to the legal profession and more importantly help to create a conducive atmosphere for a dignified and humane civilization wherein every human being at least lives in the hope that he has some organization to listen to the saner sentiments to make earth a better place and living a pleasant experience to all.

Let us all wish this excellent operation a grand success from the bottom of our souls with total intensity and intense totality.

 why not a group of eminent citizens ,top leaders be empowered to appeal in International Court to set things right rather than resorting to violent revolts which only cause lot of damage
