Great to be an Indian - Give this a thought

Great to be an Indian - Give this a thought

We still need a westerner to identify our Indian heroes. This country will never appreciate talents. As mentioned the most valuable talent in every person is to appreciate the other person's talent. We lack that talent and thereby would never prosper nor allow others to prosper. The biggest talent we have in our country is point fingers at a scape goat.

We will talk a lot about Bill Gates, but, not about Narayana Murthy. Becoz, Bill Gates is a westerner. Why are we racial towards our own people and wait for a western press to recognize our talent.

We accept that there was a bridge constructed across India and SriLanka some 17,50,000 years (in treydha ugha when Ramayana happened and Lord Rama existed) only when told using pictoral proofs from NASA. Why? Don't we claim that we have got all these INSATS on the orbit to do 'extraordinary' jobs for us? Where is it now? Why do we wait for NASA to claim what happened in India 17,50,000 years before?

The great mathematician Ramanujan needed a Prof Hardy to get himself recognized to the rest of the fellow Indians. Our Indians needed a westerner to recognize C V Raman as a great Physicist to the other fellow Indian. There are still a lots of Ramanujans, C V Ramans in this country waiting to be recognized by any western press or a westerner (will their dreams come true? will they be recognized?).

We will never change. Why are our news papers fast asleep. Come to think of it even reporters do not get credit from their own editors. How many press articles have you seen with the phrase 'By a Staff Reporter'? Why not the name of the reporter? Do you think we will change? Is this fair? Don't you think that talent must be recognized and given due credit?

So is it the fact only the rich and famous can live in this country? Is it true only our politicians can fly to USA for a health check-up in our tax money? If it is all true, then, why are we here?

Do we get our talents recognized in our home? The answer is most of the times a big 'no'. Do we get our talents then recognized at the place we work for? Again the answer most of the times is a big 'no'. Why? Think!

Our own country men will not recognize our fellow Indian. We need a Fortune or a Time magazine to do that for us.

I read this article compiled by a fellow countryman. He says its GREAT TO BE AN INDIAN? Is it? Read on...

Great to be an Indian? Read on...
The source of all/most of these facts originate from the West. Does that mean that only when the West acknowledges our greatness, only then can we acknowledge it our greatness?
How about the wealth of talent in India? To hell with them, hm? Till they get acknowledged in the West? Like M.Night Shyamalan or Narendra Karmakar. And then let us LAMENT about BRAIN DRAIN.
Even to pat ourselves on our backs, we need a NON-INDIAN to tell HOW GREAT WE INDIANS ARE!!!
THE GREATEST TALENT IS THE ABILITY TO APPRECIATE TALENT.
RECOGINZE GOOD WORK AND GIVE MERIT IT'S DUE.
THAT'S THE LEAST YOU CAN DO.
