Mindmap is the first picture where in one slide I try to bring everything. Predominantly I use alphabets to avoid omitting certain connected aspects.
I also use various other factors depending on the topic.
It is just a pattern where from the macro perspective we move on gradually to multiple layers of micro details.
For example , if I do a mind map on money, it would start with three important aspects of money, namely,
a store of value,
a medium of exchange and
a some measurable unit of account.
Then we can go on expanding each aspect.
I actually did an acid test of stuff for reverse dictionaries of idioms.
