DEAR MOTHER

                                                         DEAR MOTHER

I was born to you,
I was sticking on to you with love glue,
Under your attentive eyes I grew.
You sacrificed your sleep, food and time,
You sacrificed your youth so prime
Manifestations of unqualified and unquantifiable love
I took you for granted as the sunlight
And it made me feel so light and bright .
I know it won't be right
If I fail to take care of you
When the many folds on your skin unfold
The mystery of your age
My mind registers untold
The strains you have undergone at every stage
In life in grand style I stand
And the better about life I understand
The real meaning of tolerance and love
Is in you dear mother.
