Grown ups jump FROM conclusions to protect their well entrenched prejudices ( which they euphemistically call as experience) and confront with justifications.
Adolescents jump TO conclusions to fit into newfound ideologies or relationships ( which they euphemistically call as independent thinking and freedom) and confront with justifications.
The casualties are:-
Unadulterated OBSERVATION (it gets blocked by filters of prejudices and ideologies);
REASON (it gets blocked by justifications);
Blocking these two may block one from seeing the actual possible SYNERGY and lead to lack of SENSE OF BALANCE and SENSITIVITY to others' views, opinions and actions.
