I shared an IIT news item for some response because IITs too have become like our Ministers just make press releases for media sensationalism and hyper claims.
These ground effect craft were first developed in the former USSR in the 1970s and they are called Ekranoplans.
The USSR experimented with both cross water and cross tundra variants and abandoned both due to their very high fuel consumption. There’s a Singapore company that claims that it is developing ground effect craft and it releases a “progress report” of sorts every time it has to report earnings.
I sincerely wish the IITans would not come up with this kind of sensationalist nonsense.
Two days ago they were talking about a Hyperloop test track and 30 minute Delhi to Jaipur travel times at 1200 Kmph. Really? 1234 kmph is the speed of sound. How are they going to contain the sonic boom that is an accompanying effect?
It is tiring to read the bullshit that these jokers keep spinning because all it does is to diminish the reputation of IITs in general and that of India as well.
