There may be some exaggerations, some false information and few unpleasant stark realities and harsh facts.
Any which way there are multiple lessons to learn.
Nowadays any in product one cannot overlook the traditional wisdom and certain basic principles of modern economics beyond demand and supply.
They could be,:-
1. We cannot overlook or underestimate the importance of availability of raw materials and the manufacturing sector.
2. Manufacturing sector must not be either over pampered or strangulated by the government policies that go into the cost of production.
3. Any business and almost most businesses in the non perishable products have to be aware of the competitive landscape 'globally' and the impact of online presence for both B to B and B to C.
4. Brokers, commission agents and a hoard of other middlemen cannot be wished away as they do multiple roles in the marketing chain for most products and players.
5. Wherever the businesses can grow big, then, they must decentralise, delegate and trust professionals without getting smothered by control freaks.
6. Similarly, for bigger players brand development, positioning and publicity are vital.
7. Quality can never be compromised at any cost.
8. Businesses have to be sensitive to cultural and to regional tastes and preferences.
9. Businesses too, like any other profession, happen better when done with passion, involvement and professional commitment.
10. It would be better to operate where there is a conducive ecosystem to do business which means overall health of the economy must be the priority of governance. This is obvious because while the governance domain may focus on taxes, regulations etc they must realise and ensure that those things can get delivered only when businesses happen.
