To read about actual Chinese capabilities, I would recommend reading GlobalSecurity.org or geopolitica.info.
Chinese being a hollow force where they are using the manufacturing ability to produce ships is massive quantities.
But their ability to strike anything with precision or even the arms handling is nowhere near to where we are.
Sometimes, RT (Russia Today) brings out articles which are critical about the Chinese capabilities
