Politics -can we afford to ignore totally ?

Politics –can we afford to ignore it completely?

But we cannot ignore or be totally indifferent to the influence or impact of politics or political ideology in our society.

We need not or may not get affected or involve directly but then allowing unbridled nonsense either in the name of blind belief or religious dictate or in the name of  tradition or a political ideology can hamper growth.

If all the people had chosen to be silent to the dictates of the church then the world would have been made to accept the earth is flat.

Societies need Madame Curies ( who defied the threats of military and went to gift to the world great things), Nightingales, Voltaires, Camus, two great room mates Sri Aurobindo and Subhash Chandra Bose and at least we must have some small traces of them.

Equanimity and mental calmness  and composure can be maintained along with active participation or awareness of as many aspects of life as possible.

When everything from the price and quality of tooth paste you use after you wake up in the early morning to the electricity charges for your bed room night lamp is determined by political dispensation of some form or other it is rather bad to be indifferent to politics, though one need not or can refrain from active or hyper active participation and also avoid getting entrenched in it.

The one important lesson from history is that we must prevent repetition of costly mistakes knowingly.

History records multiple methods of Social Engineering carried out through religious morals, socio- ethical value systems,   political systems etc

So, when we talk of history, obviously it cannot be divorced from individuals, institutions, issues, ideologies that have formed and framed a major part of history.

Therefore, history includes predominantly the multiple social systems that have been experimented; the political systems that have been tried and tested; the socio-religious cultural systems that have prevailed; and the multitude of economic and trade activities that have shaped the survival of human beings and in some or many case improved life in many aspects.

Hence, it is not easy to brush aside history as some unwanted report of the facts of the past because the trails of impact and influence the events have left are enormous.

At the same time, as a subject of study, it is also vulnerable to the onslaught of ideological prejudices of all hues and certain distortions of some historians.

Unfortunately, for want of highly authenticated and accepted versions of events we are forced to rely on some available records.

However, through collating multiple methods of advanced scientific tools like DNA proofs, Archaeological evidences, literary references etc we can arrive at some facts.
