“Leadership is a mindset that shifts from being a victim to creating
results”- Robin Sharma
I
slightly disagree with Robin Sharma’s version.
There
are subtle nuances in words and they can actually influence if not perception
as such, at least the images and frames of reference that lead to perception.
For
example if someone says a particular person [intentionally gender free] is a
saintly person then immediately most of us visualize certain characterizations,
expect specific behaviors and principles from that person.
Similarly, leadership is not about creating results, if that was the case then it is
performance.
For
example Roger Federer is great performer and we do not know whether he is,or
may be. also a great leader.
Therefore,
leadership is all about 'enabling a
group of /team of people to deliver results' by many or any means.
Leadership
too, like many things is context specific and content specific, and differs from
domain to domain.
