No Rift , it is only a shift

When tectonic shift happens, weak structures drift apart and their occupants script everything as rift.

These occupants are a tribe who suffer from a chronic disease of seeing the world only in dichotomies because their tolerance longs for specific  ' Us versus Them' narrative to prevail perennially.

A tribe crowding the media space in various capacities with their own brand of ideologically indoctrinated projections of everything and opinions on everything by extrapolating those ideologies obsessively and appropriate the label of ' liberal'.

Some of these tribe who succeed in getting any popular platform obsessively presume that they are the voice of reforms.

It is this tribe that is so obsessed with social continuity ( euphemism for status quo addiction) to justify the survival of their ideology.

It is this tribe where even hierarchies are so obsessively fixed that the leaders continue till death or total physical incapacity due to old age (one can refer history).

It is this tribe that resorts to puerile perspectives based on their predefined doctrinal ideological fixations and petrifies its perceptions.

It is this tribe whose simmering discontent and  lurking ludditism surfaces through the crevices and cracks of their either dirty or devious narratives, again posturing as unbiased observers with a patronizing tone and tenor.

I can sieve and serve the streotypical  telesis of terminologies imbued with ideological intolerance of this tribe and which are normally used as  toppings by this tribe whenever they are served with a menu which is not according to their preferred taste.

Music, vocal exercise ans breathing techniques

It is a very good prompt because the modulation in the vocal chords are impacted to a great extent by the way one regulates breathing.

There must be fundamentally a natural synergy or one nurtured through intelligent and rigorous practice.

When we listen to some singers and some compositions we can notice this and appreciate.

That's why classical music vibrates with subtle frequencies of our biological cells, though we may not be analysing it in labs but relishing it, more powerfully,  if we are also fortunate enough to nourish some additional ingredient called aesthetic sensitivity as a part of culture or tradition.

Actually most of the compositions of Saint Tyagaraja and Saint Sadasiva Brahhendra are actually carved for easy and enjoyable  rendering soothing to the brain, nerves and breathing system as a whole.

If learners, practitioners and performing artists observe closely and grab that then they would be naturally able to develop these skills.

Old films in most Indian and Italian had compositions in such a way that the emphasis was on sound structures based on simple harmonic motions or lilting notes which synchronized with body pulses.

Listen to Mukesh or Hemanth Kumar or MKT one can notice this.

Like the sonnets in literary poems the songs of classical music and tunes have a nice structure of what we call in classical carnatic music Pallavi, Anu pallavi, Sharanam, Chittaswarams etc.

The multiple sangadhis ( refrains or repetions) are gradually and incrementally improvised to ensure the voice and breathing do a synthetic display like synchronized swimming.

Worth of your time?

What is the worth of your time?

First what is TIME?

Time is a relative term relative not only in terms of periodicity but also in terms of how one’s mind space values its relevance.

Over simplistically TIME is some slice of measureable period or moment.

Intrinsically, TIME is the mind space that relates with or occupies itself with whatever happens outside.

Mind space also includes how it relates with inward moment of thoughts and feelings as in rumination or remembrance or recapitulation.

Now what is worthiness?

Worthiness is again a relative term.

Worthiness is relative based on the ‘value measurement’ one uses to assess it.

The term ‘Value’ is again relative and very carelessly used to refer to too many things.

Literally, Value refers to some transactional measurable material, like money, goods, products etc.

Some people use the term value as connotation to refer to some regional or religious traditions or socio-cultural life style practices and habits
(Healthy, unhealthy, ritualistic, rational, culturally ingrained, socially preferred behavior patterns, ideas and ideals internalized through upbringing etc).

However relative these three terms TIME, WORTHINESS and VALUES may be, they also manifest in many ways how inter-related or interlinked they are.

Therefore, no slice of Time made by any civilization with all its Calendared celebration of festivities can claim with axiomatic certitude that this is the best or even a better approximation than the rest.

Similarly, no evaluation or quantification of Worthiness or value of Time can be universally applied.

Let them remain relative but let us relate in ways whereby we can enhance values and increase worthiness to time we spent.

To effect that enhancement all the three i.e. Time, Worthiness and value, it would be preferable that they manifest and prioritize to ensure through their usage and functionality the following:-

Good Quality of whatever is being used as trade off;

Sanity and Sense of balance in the way one deals with anything or anyone;

Adopting an attitude of Humanitarianism and Concern for all other species as well;

Evaluation of  everything and everyone based in their intrinsic attributes and merits and their contextual relevance;

Observing with curiosity but without bias the march of evolution weaving it patterns of synthesis and create synergy;

Avoiding  interpreting and extrapolating based on any specific preconceived perspectives; for, ultimately life is always lively and moving around unmindful of and unwilling to stop for any different reference points or measurement of time and values of worthiness or worthiness of values.

.
To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask the student who has failed a class.

To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask the mother who gave birth to a premature baby.

To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly magazine.

To realize the value of ONE DAY, ask the criminal who is waiting to be hanged the next day.

To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed a train.

To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident.

To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND ,ask the sprinter who won a silver medal in Olympics

choices and decisions -priorities

We complicate life too much.

Simple living  and high thinking  is a useful dictum.

We can neither deny or defy the importance of anything.

However, nothing should be over stretched be it indulgence or intelligence, desire or devotion, exercise or rest etc.

But then what is the measurement or standard? How we choose and decide what to do? How far to go about? When to do?

Well, there is neither any one size fit all universal standard nor panacea for all ills.

When we ensconce our choices and decisions between what makes us feel comfortable psychologically and physically then it works well
