Lessons from cricket to social life in general how collective psychology and collective will

Lessons from cricket to social life in general how collective psychology and collective will can cut to size cunning ways.

The atavistic inherited unfairness from the white man (who set the rules of governance after being unruly all over the world unleashing colonialism , slave trade etc) lingered into Australian cricket when they had a few good pace bowlers and hardly any batsmen from their team in that era played lofted shots formed rules to their advantage.

Had 8 ball over and longer boundaries lines, while cleverly avoiding exposing their weakness.

Greg Chappell never visited India as a player ( he was rated as a great , if not the greatest player) for some time. He hardly faced genuine spinners in his lifetime.

Similarly, Richard Hadly took 85% of his wickets in Newzealand and England.

They were dominating the game and its funds for a long.

Whereas, poor Sunil Gavaskar had to face all types of attacks in every country yet scored splendidly but it took the West to credit India only after the first World Cup victory (which was not a very great performance by Indian players but suddenly the giants crumbled).

However, results matter as it does often, if not always, and the obvious consequent euphoria has sent signals to the cricketing world that India has arrived.

During N. Srinivasan's time he would have taken Indian cricket, its funds etc to greater heights but our own internal politics, effectively postponed that inevitable scenario i.e. dominance of India in the cricket as well as its administration, and it has now led the white man to come to terms with this Asian power which has not withered like its other neighbours Srilanka ( which vanished after producing some extremely talented individuals or Pakistan which produced some of the best fast bowlers in the world).

Has anyone noticed what has been the difference among these three.

It is the support system of many stakeholders  from various domains and our excellent administration and institutions (not merely the extraordinary performance of a few players).

The collective will contribute to enhancing the excellence of the main stakeholders ( players).

The same is the case with India's politics, PVNs term was the World Cup moment and now post 2014 we are indeed marching ahead.

Progress has been incremental on all fronts as it is often so. Then, when it slowly gains momentum it gradually becomes a real power. It is at such junctures , one must lay the foundations to sustain the same momentum.
