This can be applied to many countries.
I have been advocating corporate governance/ business promotion driven
management of social welfare as a tool of social engineering aspect of
politics.
This may be better than outdated ideology driven models because at the
end of the day the society needs a self-sustaining models which can ensure
basic needs of life are taken care as a foundation to build.
Once the basic needs are assured, then, gradually we can build a social
eco- system which can offer life's comforts, entertainments, happiness
quotients, peaceful coexistence etc.
